Paper Plate Bunny
Supplies

Directions
  1. Print out the bunny template
  2. Use markers or crayons to color the ears and face
  3. Cut out ears and face

Notes & Ideas
  • If your preschooler is comfortable using safety scissors, he should be able to complete this craft independently (once you print out the bunny)
  • Tape a paint stir to the back of the paper plate for an instant bunny mask or puppet

Egg Chick and Bunny
Supplies

  • Pink or yellow construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • Markers
Directions
  1. Cut an egg shape out of the paper (print out egg template )
  2. Cut out ears, feet, and/ or wings from paper
  3. Glue on ears, feet and/ or wings
  4. Use markers or crayons to draw on the face, to color, and to personalize your egg creature
Notes & Ideas
  • Glue these to a folded sheet of paper for an easy (and cute) homemade Easter card

Paper Plate Easter Basket
Supplies
  • Paper plate cut in half
  • Hole punch
  • Ribbon or yarn
  • Markers, crayons, or stickers to decorate your basket
Directions
  1. Place the 2 halves of the plate, top sides together
  2. Punch holes the entire way around- through both plates- about an inch apart
  3. Place ribbon through top hole and tie
  4. Your preschooler can work his fine motor skills and “lace” the basket together (tape the end of the ribbon to make it easier)
  5. Decorate

Notes & Ideas
  • Fill with paper Easter egg crafts or other Easter goodies!
  • Hang on a door to collect Easter cards
  • This preschool Easter craft helps develop fine motor skills and concentration
  • Show your preschooler how to make the ribbon loop around the sides of the plate as he laces (poke the ribbon up through each hole and then go around the side of the plate), but don't correct if he laces in his own way (see example... top is looped around- which looks nicer- but sides and bottom are my daughters "own way")

Easter Egg Writing Practice
Supplies

Directions
  1. Print out template
  2. Give your preschooler these instructions, “Starting at the line on one side of the egg, draw a line and stop at the line on the other side of the egg.” Lines can be zig zag, squiggley, straight…
  3. Cut the egg out if desired

Notes & ideas

  • Having to start and stop at a given line is great practice for printing letters
  • Your preschooler can be creative with the colors she uses and the lines drawn
  • Toddlers can just scribble on the egg shape (they’re not ready to start and stop at a specific place)… they’ll work their fine motor skills too!
  • Cut out and hung on an Easter tree or in a window, these eggs make great Easter decorations

Easter Tree
Supplies
  • Dry branch or stick
  • Clay or play dough
  • Decorative container (vase, flower pot, or bucket)
  • Easter crafts and spring crafts
  • Ribbon, yarn, or string
  • Hole punch
Directions
  1. Place clay in the bottom of your chosen container
  2. Push the bottom of the stick into the clay so the branch sticks straight up
  3. Punch holes in and string ribbon through preschool Easter crafts and spring crafts (you can laminate them to last longer)
  4. Hang your ornaments on your Easter tree

Cereal Box Easter Basket
Supplies

  • Cereal box
  • Scraps of paper or tissue paper
  • School glue
  • Paint brush
  • Strip of paper
  • Stapler
Directions
  1. Cut off the bottom half of the cereal box
  2. Paint glue on the box
  3. Place paper all over box in a random mosaic pattern (or your preschooler may chose to do a pattern)
  4. Allow to dry
  5. Staple the strip of paper to each side of the box

Notes & Ideas

  • Perfect for Easter egg hunts
  • Hang on a door to collect Easter cards
  • This preschool Easter craft also makes a very cute, homemade toy purse for playing dress up
