Teach and Entertain your Child with Preschool Music

In a rut? Looking for an easy way to entertain your preschooler or toddler? Preschool music activities… singing songs, dancing, and doing fingerplays are fun, super easy, and active activities for kids.

By singing songs with and doing early childhood music activities with your kids, you are actually teaching and entertaining them at the same time. Preschool, toddler, and baby songs improve language skills, memory, and concentration. Dancing to music works on gross motor skills. Preschool fingerplays (songs that have hand motions) help to develop fine motor skills needed for writing. Kids learn rhythm and gross motor skills by playing with musical instruments.

According to KidsHealth.org, “Research has shown that children who are actively involved in music (who play it or sing it regularly):

  • Do better in reading and math when they start school
  • Are better able to focus and control their bodies
  • Play better with others and have higher self-esteem”

Give your child a headstart by doing music activities together.
